Mid-November 2009 - aftermarket remote starter installed from reputable shop
Late December 2009 - battery died, replaced with a new one.
One week later - new battery died. brought to Chrysler dealer/repair to have it diagnosed. $250 later they said it was probably the car starter and there was nothing they could do about it. brought the car back to the place where the starter was installed. They ran some tests but found nothing out of the ordinary. Suggest a 2-week trial with the starter removed.
Two weeks later (mid January 2010) - No problems. brought car back to starter place and had the starter put back in. They replaced some wire - not becuse they found anything wrong but because they read somewhere that that had caused some problems for other people.
One week ago (mid-February) - 'check engine' light keeps coming on and going back off. Haven't had it checked out - dont even know if its related.
Today (02/15/10) - car won't start, battery is dead.
I'm sick of the run-around i'm getting with my problems. The dealership won't help me because it isnt their problem. The place that installed the starter can't find anything wrong with it either and has no suggestion. Yet there is something wrong with my car. I've never had any problems before this. I'm almost positive its the starter somehow and i'm about ready to just have it removed for good but what a waste of time and money. PLEASE - Any other suggestions or ideas?
