When sitting still with car running, move the steering wheel back and forth it makes a thumping sound. When grabbing the steering shaft that goes down through the floor or firewall you can actually feel the bumping or thumping. Anyone ever have this happen and what would the cost be to fix it? And would it require special tools...? Thanks
We believe we have eliminated ball joints and cv joints as the possible cause. The van runs down the road straight as an arrow with no drifting and seems to be no play in the cv joints. Thanks
