Is there anyway to get chronic belching/regurgitation under control with acid reflux disease? PPIs have seemed to gotten all the other symptoms of acid reflux under control, but the stomach contents are still coming up my esophagus constantly. I get on average 8 "wet burps" an hour, it's driving me insane.

I just started taking a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in 8 oz. of water and sip it throughout the day. I noticed an immediate improvement. The taste isn't my favorite but the results are.

I have been having that too lately. It was gross. Dinner came back up into my mouth. I started back on my Prevacid today. I hate this chronic problem. Does it effect your sinus's too?

@FeatherMe: I tried apple cider vinegar (Braggs), digestive enzymes (Betaine HCl), all that for a week and it actually made things worse. It might have also been withdrawl symptoms, but I'm 24 and shouldn't have a lack of stomach acid (that happens with older people.)

PPI's unfortunately have the best effect, but that effect is minimal.

@TEdRAB83: I think I get sinuses, and it effects the acid reflux, not the other way around.

I did not stop taking my zantac. I did this in addition to my zantac. I'm on my fourth day and the taste is not as repulsive as when I tried taking it straight and all at once. The sipping I can handle. The sore throat I had is gone as is the stomach pangs. I understand one can lose weight with this as well - a nice side effect. I would eat to try to stop the stomach pain but it never did.

I'm glad it works for me and sorry it didn't for you.

Well when I did apple cider vinegar I stopped all my PPIs and Zantac. I could try Zantac and apple cider vinegar and see how that goes.
