Hi, I thought I'd create a new thread to list all the Christmas movies being shown this Christmas on the 5 main terrestrial channels. The confirmed xmas listings come out today and tomorrow so will post all xmas films here being shown over the holiday period.
Let's hope the BBC show It's a wonderful Life and White Christmas this year :)

Jaaaaammmmmmmiiiiiiieeeeeee! That and the annoying postman character put me off the film. (Still went to see it in the cinema when it came out though!)

One of the last screen performances of the late, great Phil Hartman too... :(

Paddy :D

Well its certainlly christmas wheather .....theres penguins and snowmen squatting in my living room watching the snowman and father christmas.!!...........personally i love chevy chase in Christmas vacation!!Its not xmas without it !!

I always enjoy watching a good cheesy Christmas film. The cheesiest has to "A Hobo's Christmas". I think it has Mickey Rooney in it (I may be wrong). It has a ridiculous story. Some child befrienRAB a hobo, hobo lives with child's family and hobo turns out to be long lost dad of child's father or something along those lines. Of course they are reunited and there is a happy ending. Bloody awful load of ole tosh but good fun to watch.

Santa Claus: The Movie is showing on christmas eve on ITV1
It's a good christmas movie.

The santa claus 1/2 on BBC1 over the holidays.

The Polar express on christmas eve on ITV1.

Not sure if Scrooged is on but it's a good christmas film. I might just watch it on DVD before christmas.

Jingle all the way
It's a wonderful life
Miracle on 34th street
Nightmare before christmas
Home Alone 1
Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
Home Alone 3
Gremlins

Not sure if any of those movies above are on though.
I hope they are.

Thanks for those Dylan. As long as Santa Claus: The Movie is on, I'm happy! This film ALWAYS gets me in the Christmassy mood. I'll probably watch it before on DVD, but can never watch it too many times! The Polar Express, also.

Does anyone know if The Snowman is on? It usually comes on Christmas Eve on Channel 4. This is another classic Christmas film :) (30 mins long, but still...)

I'm delighted to see that the original 1947 version of Miracle on 34th Street is being shown on More 4 at 1.30 p.m. on Saturday Dec 20th. I'm afraid I've never been brave enough to watch the Richard Attenborough remake which is on Channel 4 later today. I might give it a look later, but I doubt I'll like it much compared to the original. As far as I'm aware, it's the first time the old version has been on free to air TV for many years, and I'm looking forward to seeing it again.

Yes - The snowman in on Channel 4 on Xmas Eve - I think its starts at 4.30.

I always sky plus it and put it on when I am opening my pressies on Xmas Day. :D

Update: This is now being shown on Christmas Eve/Morning at 12.20am. A wise choice as the story takes place on Christmas Eve (l think?)!
