According to the bible, the hony symbolizes that very deep and satisfying feeling that you get when you heart is surrendering to the Lord... That psychological fortification of your will into God's will... that feeling of submission is the honey Jesus discussed...
Now according to scripture, John ate "wild honey" meaning that this very deep satisfaction was coming from God going to man, rather than from man pursuing God...
So as far as I know it, the only way for God to come to you, rather than for you to go to God, is if you are laboring in his vineyards and working very hard for his name...
