Christians: What's the difference between God saying anything he does is good and, say, me saying the same?

What makes one more valid than the other?

And please don't say power because which party can beat which in a arm-wrestling match has no impact on the goodness of the parties. The fact that someone is more powerful than someone else says nothing about goodness.
Mike Hunt - This is a hypothetical. I wouldn't say something as Orwellian as this.
Marvin - But God defines himself as righteous. In this example, I would do the same. The question is: What's the difference between the two? Is there a difference? Because I don't think there is.
username_hidden - Well you have me there on knowledge, that might be a genuine difference, but power and authority aren't "important factors" about whether someone is good. Imagine an utterly evil and twisted person. Now imagine he gained ever-more power and authority right there before your eyes. Would that make him any more good? Of course not.

And even knowledge isn't such an impediment, because knowledge only shows you how to get to a goal, it doesn't give you the values which determine which goals are worth pursuing. So it doesn't directly impact morality.
