Christians: What was the good news again?

I heard Christianity came with a message of great joy, but the only message I heard was of eternal grief. It came with the threat of everlasting torture and war on earth and perdition hereafter. Do you call that good news?
 
The good news is that I'm gonna have sex tonight...OH YEAH!

Fireworks and all...WOOH! This is the greatest joy.

It only feels like torture at first, and like you're in a tug-of-war...just before you find yourself, you do feel a little lost, lightheaded and hot - like you're near hell...but then you feel REAL good and it's exciting and you're back in the sweet arms of your "god," and ready for rest in his bosom (or her, if you go that way).
