A great philosopher once said "A Civilization is measured by its Scientific advancements" Evolution is one of advancement our Civilization is proud of.

Now enter these Christians that wish to take science out of our classrooms, effectively destroying our Society (No Scientific learning would lead to no advancement), the same thing that happened to Islam in 1100AD

Why do Christians want this to happen?

So, genetics isn't science, since a Christian initiated the scientific study of genotypes and phenotypes, right?

Lets see, the Diesel was invented by a Christian, named Diesel

Robert Norton Noyce, now there's a Christian for you, Inventor of the integrated chip, and one of the inventors of the microprocessor. Yep, that computer in front of you is proof of your theory about Christians being opposed to science, right?

Oh yea, my pastor actually preached about the evils of science today. It's every Christian too. Wow, you're so right and not making any generalizations about people.

I think you are misinformed. There is a small minority of Christians who want to tamper with teaching about scientific subjects. They do represent the rest of Christianity.

Their holy book tells them to. In Islam's case, Muslims followed their book. See what happened?

Christianity is a viral mass delusion dependent upon convincing others in order to maintain ones own suspension of reason.

Because the population is easier to control when it is ignorant and superstitious .

Science has shown that the bible is nonsense. If christians agree with evolution they negate the reason for Jesus death. No Original sin, no reason to die on the cross.

You are exaggerating. Christians believe that God created the universe and that in that creation he established laws, rules and patterns that can be observed and discovered. Many of the greatest scientists in history were Christians intent on discovering the ways God ordered the universe.

Many Christians object to the portrayal of evolution as a fact rather than the theory it truly is. All Christians are asking for is a fair presentation of the pros and cons of evolutionary theory. Unfortunately, defense of evolution has reached a religious fervor that makes it difficult to engage in reasonable conversations about this issue.

Christians are not against science as you claim, and little or none of present civilization rests on the theory of evolution.

at this point, religion doesn't interfere with science that much anymore..

some ignorant people still tries to stop science though, but they are stupid, so they don't matter.

I think it is the other way around. I must miss a lot because I haven't
heard of any Christians doing that.

Personally, I am a Christian and I am interested in Forensic Psychology and the brain.

Who created science? Yes, thats right, it was God's creation,
you just don't put the creation ahead, of the Creator. No science
can disprove God, only scientists with incorrect theories. Could you
humble yourself long enough to admit you are God's unique
creation?

They're hypocrites...

they only want their families to be smart and the rest of the population dumb.

Even if they take over the U.S.'s educational system they still won't be able to destroy intellectual advancements, it'll be carried on by the Europeans and the Asians......

1 Timothy 6:20O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:

Stop putting all the blame on Christianity and take some responsibly for yourself.

The majority of the Christians I know have no problem with evolution.

Fundamentalists (Muslim as well as Christian and some Funda. Jews) are the ones who have problems with evolution( as a scientific theorem/"law")

Many of the Fundamentalists I know have no problem with evolution being taught but they want the "other side " represented in classrooms.

I wasn't going to answer until Cabellero, or what ever her name is:

So many flaws. Intelligent design is not a scientific theory. It's a religious one. It has no science to back it up. No proof or evidence.

The Theory of Evolution is as much a theory as the Theory of the Atom or the Theory of Gravity.

ID has no place in a institute of knowledge and understanding. It was shunted off to the only place it belongs: back to the religion it sprang from.

If anyone came up with another theory as proven as evolution is, it probably WOULD be taught side by side with evolution. ID is no such theory.

Atheistically yours,
JM Gendron.

You said : "Evolution is one of advancement our Civilization is proud of." I disagree with this statement.

Evolution is only theory . Christians only want to introduce the 'theory' of intelligent design and have it be taught in the classroom as well.
Those that promote evolution refuse to allow any other theories to be even entertained. How scientific is that?
