stories from other civilizations? Like the great flood myth, i believe that one was told all over the earth for centuries before the old testament was written, some word for word, some just similar. What are your thoughts on that?
There is also the jesus story, several cultures told this story from virgin birth to rising up to the heavens over and over.
The story of cain and abel is well worn out before its put into the bible

Ok, for instance the flood myth is told with nothing changed besides names in sumerian mythology.
The story of osiris and set in egyptian mythology is replicated by cain and abel.

One more thing. a few of you say it only proves the stories are true,well i guess thats possible- But by the same token that makes the holy bible false,because,the facts are a lot of these stories are dated thousands of years before the old testament but judging by dates of the bibles own admission the events happened relatively closer to the time of the bible than the thousands of years before hand the other texts seem to claim.
