CHRISTIANS: Does a Pre-Trib Rapture happen before or after WWIII begins?

Would nukes go off before or after the Rapture if the Pre-Trib Rapture is correct? If the Mid-Trib Rapture is correct, does the Rapture happen after nukes start flying or before?

Doesn't it say in the Bible that God intervenes before humanity destroys themselves? Something like if He didn't intervene, we would all surely destroy ourselves?
Is this sort of what it sounds like when God intervenes before sudden destruction?
