...ostentatious spectacle it is today? How do you think God looks upon the all the razzmatazz of enormous Cathedrals/Chapels, housing burning incense, statues, candles, holy water, with gold braided Bishops and Arch Bishops kissing the hand of the Pope? My interpretation of the teachings of Christ is that, by example, he intended the worship of our Lord to take place in a simple uncluttered temple.
