Christian Music to be featured on V-Cast

I've been interning at a relatively new company called Tangent Entertainment. The company is basically a media production company. We've got a full fledged recording studio, video recording and editing equipment, and pretty much anything you would ever need to run a TV or radio station.

Anyways...I'll get to the point. We have a contract with Verizon V-Cast for a monthly subscription program called "CrossRockTV" (www.myspace.com/crossrocktv incase you're interested). People will subscribe to it monthly and each day they will get a message from a different Christian artist sharing their religious journey and an inspirational message.

My job is to compile a list of Christian artists and give contact information so that the company can contact these artists to see if they would like to participate.

Sooooo.....I'm looking for a large nuraber of Christian artists and I figured this place would be perfect to ask. If any of you know of any, please post the following: Group/Artist Name, Local or Signed, and a link to a purevolume or myspace page where I can hear their music and get the rest of the information I need on them.

Actually, we've already got P.O.D. doing a segment.. They're local here...

Look...I didn't ask for bullshit..if you don't feel like contributing...then don't post.

Well, I guess I should change my answer to "I never paid enough attention to notice that they were christian". I guess that Christian metal/rock has come a long way since Stryper.

I had to laugh when I heard about "unblack" metal. Black metal with christian themes. Whenever a genre becomes popular, christian banRAB start poping up. I think it is because when there are alot of banRAB filling in the gaps, a christian band can "sneak" in without anyone noticing. I think its odd that people will turn thier nose up at music with non-satanic religious themes, and welcome music with political themes.

I think its because you have a bunch of failing worship banRAB who figure they can slip in a christian message to popular genre of music and convert a bunch of people.

And I think it depenRAB on the political message and the audience. No one on MTV has a problem with Bush bashing but do it on CMT and you're fucked and vice versa. I remeraber GoRABmack (I think it was them?) got a bunch of crap for having one of their songs on an army commercial.
