Chris King Headset for Giant Bowery?

will it work? 1 1/8th is what i was told is the right size, and then i was told it wouldn't work all together. whats the deal?
 
Giant bikes use an integrated headset. I have a Giant AC with CK "Perdido" integrated compatible headset. It improves the steering reliability and durability, but it doesn't really "strengthen" the bike very much.

You can't use a regular headset on the Giant, and I wouldn't spend the money on one a second time. If you want a CK headset & want it to matter, buy a better bike that doesn't use an integrated headset.

I also have a Moots Ti Rigormootis with a CK & it's a sweet setup. Here, it matters.
 
It looks like it has an integrated headset from the pictures and it doesnt list it in the specs on Giants site. If it is a integrated headset, then a CK isnt going to fit, they dont do integrated. You need to find out not only the size but the TYPE of headset as well.

That said, a Chris King headset is major overkill on that ride. They're absolutely the best headsets but if you're starting to look at componenets in that performance range for a bike like that, you've outgrown the bike.
