Chris Hollins on Watchdog

You've just about got it the fact that he's inoffensive and pretty is what makes him so annoying plus all that fuss when he did the dancing thing and on top of that he's a sports presenter.:)

He gets everywhere, and I just can't bear to look at his smug face and listen to his squeeky voice. I also get the vibe that he is a bit up himself and not a nice person. Irrational maybe and I have no proof but I just can't help it.

I agree. Robinson is past her sell by date imho. Chris is ok, he wouldn't be much cop if he had to confront people though. It's that idiot Matt that does Rogues Gallery whom get's on my wick, and his Italian sidekick.

Hollins, like so many on TV nowadays, is not content with doing a cushy, well-paid job. They're always 'bigging up' their part and the Beeb are happy to plaster them everywhere - to the point of annoyance.

I remember Hollins a couple of years ago making his brief sports slot more and more diverse (remember him sleeping outside Wimbledon with that fat weather bird with the unintelligible scottish accent?).
I thought at the time 'RAB, get him on Strictly'. And there he was! Next it's Riverdance. Expect Mike Bushell to follow suit as he insists on doing ever-more 'wacky' activities on Saturday morning. Zorbing, anyone?

And of course we're coming into the season when all these Z-listers can show off to their hearts content - all in the name of 'charity', of course. Yup, I'm talking about PuRABey bloody Bear and Comic sodding Relief.

Don't see why he's any less qualified to do Watchdog than previous presenters like Julia Bradbury (who did travel shows) or Nicky Campbell (a former Radio 1 DJ and Wheel of Fortune host).

I seem to remember that Paul Heiney - who another poster has suggested - used to be a sidekick for Esther on That's Life!, with its silly songs, vox-pop interviews with gurning old ladies in street markets, and vegetables shaped like penises.

nothing wrong at all :) Just because he's more well known as the sports presenter on Breakfast doesnt mean he can't broaden his horizons elsewhere :)

I wish him the best of luck

Since when has he been pretty ? I question your sanity, Norbert5, if you think he is pretty :D

Anyway, I find him a bit bland and a little bit insincere, but not too annoying - but I don't really like the jobs for the boys thing that BBC have going on.
