Choosing: webOS or Android?

I'm on AT&T and in a month I'll be eligible to upgrade from my Samsung Impression. I've been eyeing the HTC Aria and Palm Pre Plus because they're both cheaper devices and I'm on a budget. I know a lot about Android but I have some questions about webOS that I really need someone to answer.
1. Does webOS have an app store/market that comes remotely close to Android? I know Android has exploded with apps this year.
2. I know neither the Pre Plus nor the Pixi Plus will accept a microSD card. (cries a little) If I go with Palm, will I be able to transfer my stuff from my current SD card easily with my computer?
3. I've heard rumors that webOS is slow. What kind of processors do the Palm phones have and are they sluggish?
4. Will there be a new phone soon? I know AT&T hasn't embraced Android very much (ahem, iPhone) and the same can be said for webOS (no mobile hotspot). Will there be a Pre 2/Pixi 2/SuperPre/SuperPixi by the end of this year or should I take the plunge into Android or webOS as soon as I can upgrade?
5. Will I be happy with Palm for 2 years? I'm not exactly 'easy' on my phones. Will a Pre Plus or Pixi Plus last for 2 years? Are the phones durable?

Please if you can try to give me an answer that is as detailed as possible. Thanks. :)
