Choosing replacement tires for a Dodge Dakota Sport which OEM'd with

255/65R15 on 15x7 rims? Original tires were Goodyear Eagle GT 255/65R15. I have worn through my 2nd set of those, and I don't find anyone listing this size available anymore. I like the wheels and to stick with the same overall diameter of about 28.9", I could choose between...

275/60R15 BFG Radial T/A
... gap where 255/65R15 used to fit
235/70R15 (requires 42+ PSI for load rating)
215/75R15 (requires 50+ PSI for load rating)

I'm trying to consider with an open mind, and realizing that many of the Dakotas were sold with 235s or even 215s, and that the narrower tires probably are better for gas mileage.

I have the lightest half ton, with the 4.7L 235hp V-8 and 5 speed stick with 4.10 traction-loc rear. I think the 275s would "look cool", but as a practical daily driver the 235s would probably be more efficient choice, and would make it a little easier to drift should the desire arise. I can't come up with a practical reason to justify the wider rubber. I don't carry heavy loads or tow anything. What do you think you would do?
