choosing a new phone

my old phone, samsung e720 went for a swim, and since have been using a 7290 blackberry, buggy lil thing.
i have been looking at the n80 a lot and like the fact it has wifi, but have heard a lot of bad reviews of it, battery, slide ect. also looking at the n73 its great except that it doesnt have wifi, but dunno if maybe i could just go without, have even been looking a bit at the w850i, but really dont know what to do, is the n80 really as bad as they say? even with the firmware updates? did the firmware updates make the battery last any longer? and also if i want to update the firmware for the n80, do i need to get a special australian version? and how easy is it to find the latest (australian) firmware? and how easy is it to update, do i need to buy anything extra?
sorry about all the questions, if theres anything you guys can suggest for me that would really help me out, it doesnt have to have wifi, but it'd be good if it did.
thanks sheldon

i had n80 for a couple months and i didn't have any issues with it, just charge the battery every night. its just a hunky and odd-shaped phone lol

n73 vs w850 i'd go with n73...its camera owns the w850 camera...3.2MP w/ autofocus.
and i've heard of some build problems with the w850

w850i..
really great phone and music player as well..
comes equipped with a 1gig memory stick and excellent earphones (hpm-70's)..

uh, comparing it with the n80, its smaller, quicker, and looks a lot sexier...has 3g capabilities as well so that you could make video calls and surf the net faster than EDGE phones and the like ...the w850i also has sony's latest walkman version...

uhm, to be honest, i really dont like nokias...the phones almost always have problems with its own software, hardware...whatever...haha...(i had a n91 once...it just kept on crashing and malfunctioning...damn that phone...)...plus, nokias are prone to all sorts of viruses! especially those like the n70, etc...

sony rocks...
these are just my opinions!...hahaha

Whatever phone you get, you need to make sure it will work on your network. A CDMA phone will not work on a GSM network, for example.

yeah i dunno about the w850i though, se's are good, but dont really know if i want that one, so i guess its either n80 or n73, or maybe the n95, which would be awesome but its not going to out for awhile, anyone know a better date than 1st quarter of 2007 for australia?
