Choosing a major: English Lit, Photography?

I have always loved to write. However, as much as I enjoy writing, I enjoy taking pictures equally. Of course that means I have always been torn between English and Photography as my major/minor. I want to make the best decision for my future and choose the most rational course of study as I do want to make enough money to get by in the future (and please do not say that neither choice is rational; I currently work for a newspaper as an editor/administrative assistant). I just want to make the "safest choice." Currently, I am an English major who is considering minoring in Photography. I figure that I will have a broad range of career choices whereas Photography will simply limit me to Photography. I am considering furthering my education after I receive my Bachelor's Degree (Library Science, something of that nature), but I plan to own my own small business one day (one that incorporates writing and photography as well). Here is my dilemma: Should I major in Photography? Stick with English Lit/minor in Photography, or transfer for Professional Writing and Editing/minor in Photography? Which do you consider to be the most sound career choice?
