Chocolate sculpture..freezing?

I want to make some pattern with chocolate to put on top of cupcakes...like swirls and curls.. so i make the design and freeze it.l. how long should it be left in the freezer and how long does it have after i pull it out???
 
Don't freeze the chocolate. when you freeze it and then pull it out water condenses on the chocolate and makes it look like it's "sweating". If you just use melted chocolate chips and don't adulterate them with anything your chocolate should harden right back up at room temp or in the fridge. then as long as the chocolate isn't in a hot area it should hold up just fine if left out.
