Chocolate prepaid 8550

I have a prepaid Chocolate. I have flashed chocolates before but this one won't even write the PRL in LG Download. It says it cannot put the phone in DM mode, so I tried putting it in DM mode through UNI CDMA and that was a no go too!!!!! I can write the PRL in CDMA workshop but that does me no good as far as fully flashing it. I was just wondering if anyone had run into this situation before or if anyone has any suggestions.

yes. mess around with the dlls the 8550 is a pain try the 9400 or the 9100 i cant remeraber which one worked for me. follow the 9900 tutorial. just be careful because the settings are not in the exact same place.
