the curtains fall like paper
and everyone can see
the rust and water dripping
and the paint across the ceiling

every sound is chiseled
and every breath sinks down
below room temperature
sitting on a sofa with my eyes shut

i need some confirmation
something to think about

i cant see past the window
except the streets below
but how can people take this
