I think they've been on this horse too long. Isn't about time we cut free trade with China? Due to all of our industry being shipped there, their prosperous growth that is causing our downfall, the safety of toys... Did I mention our industry?. Oh yeah, and um...our industry! To be honest, why should I give a damn about their economy? If your some open, bleeding heart that wants to send aid to Kenya before you send it to somebody in our own country that needs care, don't answer this please.

Moving on to GM:)
So where was West Point Steven's bailout money? They could have actually survived! We need to let GM and Chrysler die and make way for new industry that will flourish. It just makes sense, if a company can't succeed, LET IT DIE. If GM/Chrysler fails, there's gonna be somebody that knows what they're doing coming in. Take for instance, if you have a new car available to you at no charge, or an old car that would cost a whole lot to get fixed...which one makes more sense? It seems like GM/Chrysler is the old car.

So what's our problem?

Well, the reason China's quality seems lower is because they are a communist nation. They focus solely on industry and pay less attention to safety. As long as the money comes in, the welfare of the citizens and consumers is second. In their defense, it is probably very costly to give free health care to a billion people. America is used to a much higher standard of quality, so maybe we should just try and find a better trading partner. I know developed nations in Europe share our concern for quality, we just need more manual laborers instead of the boom in information technology.

As for the bailout, we are the first American government to literally bail out our economy. Although it has a slim chance of preserving American jobs for a slight bit longer, I don't see this folding leading to anything positive. Once again in the defense of the attacked subject, there were no middle class American car commercials during the Super Bowl. That proves that even if the CEOs still own private jets, they are cutting down somewhere. I think that although we started the auto industry, it's time to pass the torch to another nation, such as Japan, in order to improve safety and quality.
