In an investigation, 20 chiltons were placed in the centre of a circular peice of paper. A light was switched on above then.
After three minutes with the light on the chiltons moved away from the centre of thr paper towards the edge in different directions.
The light was then swtiched off and after three minutes the majority of the chiltons had gone back to the centre. Can anyone explain why?

Also, what are the advantages of chiltons remainding under stones when the tide is out?

Ok... from the observations made it tells that chiltons are light sensitive that's why they tend to move further away from the light. Depending on how close the light was to them it also mean that they are heat sensitive so they move as far as possible. For example: imagine laying in your bed in the night, in the dark and someone turned the light on. Whats the first thing you do.... cover your eyes or close them... this you do because the human eye is light sensitive to bright light. Um-mm... well i'm not sure of the other part of the question. I think you should google it.
