Back in the 80s, I read a series of books (not chapter books). I can't totally remember what they were about, but there was a little girl who was an orphan. The covers had beautiful illustrations..I can picture the faded green cover with soft colors and the little girl in a simple dress and bonnet. The series may have been about the entire orphanage. I've done a search and come up with nothing. Maybe someone else remembers what I'm talking about. TIA.
