so i finally declared my major (i'm still not even sure about this) but i would need to get my b.a and also become a graduate student after to be certified to teach? help!!

I previously studied Earliy Childhood Studies at Anglia Ruskin University in UK and graduated from there after a 3 year degree/
There are many routes into teaching form her such as SCITTS, GTR programms and PGCE> Each are diffrent and the SCITT in particualr is good as you can get paid for teaching as you learn on the job.#Try looking at the TDA website fore more info and contact me if you get stuck as i was looking and heading down the same path as you untill i cahnged courses.
Good luck

No, you dont need to be a graduate student to be able to teach. You only have to graduate with your bachelors degree in teaching, then apply for your state's teaching certificate once you have proved that you finished the bachelors program for teachers.

Make sure that you want to be a teacher before declaring and finishing the major. I know a few people who went through 4 years, and hated student teaching..so they changed their major. My suggestion is to go to a classroom a few times to make sure that you like the thought of being a teacher. If you do, great...if you think it would get annoying...change your major!

Best of luck!
