Who is / was your favourite child actor and who is / was your least favourite?

My favourite might have to be the fat kid that played "little" Gretl von Trapp. The story tells that when they shot the escaping to Switzerland over the Alps scene (at the end of the movie), she was too heavy for Christopher Plummer to carry and he demanded a slimmer stunt double!

Least favourite...so many to choose from! Will get back to you...

Jodie Foster is my all-time favourite child actor, with Kirsten Dunst an honorable runner-up.

Most other child actors are irritating, the above two weren't (though I suppose it helps that they both had good roles other than the usual 'sickly sweet and cute child' ones).
 
The most irritating are those that appear in shows like Barney, shoot them all! Or at least get them decent acting lessons!

Yup, Dakota Fanning is wonderful.

And Thora Birch as well as Mara Wilson who made a lot of movies in the 1990's, Mrs Doubtfire being (for me) the best remembered one.

I also love the little boy who was in The Others, James Bentley.

For some reason, Haley Joel Osment rubs me the wrong way. :confused:
 
Dakota Fanning is possibly the best i have seen in years!! she was amazing in Man On Fire and i am going to see Hide and Seek just for her alone :)

i am sure she will also be great in War of the WorlRAB :)
 
My favourite: Jodie Foster in the 'good old days' - eg. Candleshoe, Freaky Friday etc
Least favourite: the boy with the bouffant hair in Love Actually - I don't know his name! :eek:
 
Christina Ricci was superb as Wednesday in the Addams Family movies - particularly 'values'.

After watching Addams Family Values at the cinema, I remember remarking to my wife that she was gonna be a BIG star one day.
 
Macaulay Culkin, is my favourite i mean home alone is pure genious, and he was so cute but now hes all grown up and he has the same face just more mature it doesnt look right and he now doesnt seem to have an acting career aww. Christina ricci was really good as well though... i dont have a least favourite just yet but im sure ill think of one.
