Child abuse - broken arm; can i see on xray as an adult?

Hello everyone. I'm a 49 year old woman and have known for many years that I was a child abuse victim. I recently found out that a family member told another family member that he knew my arm had been broken by my abuser when I was approximately 4 years old.

Maybe I should just leave it alone, but I do have flashbacks and "sensory memories" which are a direct result of the abuse I suffered, but I'm never sure if my memories are totally accurate or just a compilation of the various injuries I suffered. So, I'm wondering if an xray of my arm will confirm that my arm had been broken as a child. Does anyone know the answer to this? I don't really need to validate my issue as it was already done by another person, but I'd still like to know about this particular injury.

Thanks!

It should show up. I was abused but so badly I developed repressed memories and had no idea I was a victim until strange fractures started to show up on adult x-rays that I couldn't explain. It was those x-rays that started my memories returning.

And they are still visible at 59.

Good luck and I hope you're in therapy for PTSD.

Jenny
