My parents bought me a 94 toyota camry 10 months ago for my 18th birthday (which was 7 months ago) but it still hasn't been fixed yet. My dad's a mechanic, and I understand he is busy with paying customers, but I can't help but be upset and frustrated, because I have offered to take it somewhere else and pay to get it fixed, etc but my parents won't let me. I'm moving in a month too 2 hours away so you can imagine how stressful this is.

ANYWAYS, I went to look at a 98 chevy cavalier today and brought my dad with me for help. He pointed out at least $2000 worth of crap wrong with it, so I walked away from the sale. Only now I'm wondering which is a better car.

SO my question to you yahoo answer fanatics, is with each car is mint condition, which do you think is a better car and why?

Sorry but that is just a crappy car - even against other American cars.

They say the plumbing is always the worst at the plumber's house. It seems to be true in your house.

Sorry.. :-(

Good luck...

Toyota for sure. No wonder they are the No 1 car maker. But there are few Chevy models which are far better than Toyota. No Toyota model can beat Corvette.

Comparing a American designed car to a Japanese designed car, which are both made in America now.

No question, go with Toyota.

Honda and Toyota were rated the most reliable and cost effective as well as best resale value.

Besides Chevy may go out of business very soon, and also their parts suppliers.

The Chevy will always be better. Toyota's suck, are very expensive to repair and very unreliable.

Toyota.

Heck even a 1978 Toyota would be better than a 2009 Chevy. Toy's are better designed all around, meaning they will be more reliable and easier/cheaper to maintain.

I hope you take my advice because you don't want to learn the truth about Chevy's (and other GM manufactured cars) the hard way.
