Engine light came on to service van soon. It has been on for a couple of weeks. Today as I turned the key on to start it took three times before it finally caught. I did smell gas as if it was chiking itself out, kind of like the way old engines would. Engine sounds good when running. Is there something I can do before I have to take it to a dealer where they put it on the scope and they say "Maybe" this is the problem?
