chevy stock audio questions?

my 2004 chevy trailblazer LT has a stock audio system with premium sound system with a 6 disk changer. i want to no how many speakers it has because i want to replace the head unit but if it has 6 speakers i would need an amp for them because most head units only come 4 channel right>? i was told there are 6 speakers but i cant find them all
