Chevy sport or 454 ss?

First off I am a chevy guy straight through, but I want to hear from other people out there who own or at one time owned one of these trucks I am looking to buy. One is a 1990 Chevrolet Sport truck with the 5 speed manual transmission and the is a 1990 Chevrolet 454 SS truck but this one is automatic. Each have their ups and downs but I want to know what others think overall. Thanks
