chevy Small block suggestions.?

Hey guys. I race figure 8 races so im looking to put together a 350 chevy. I've been told that 883 heads are a darn good head, but how do they compare to 202, 195, or vortec heads. also what would i look for in a CAM, or intake, or carb. lol i could go on forever. What Im thinking im gunna do is 350block, 883 heads, mild cam and headers.
