hello, recently a friend of mine gave me a 350 small block, just the block. the block casting number is 3970010. i have worked on small block chevys before but never really any internal work, i think the farthest ive done with a sbc is taking the heads out and getting them worked on. so ive never worked on an engine out of a car. i want to make this 350 block into a roaring 383 with atleast 500hp on just engine. where do i need to start? and could you give me step by step on what i need to do to accomplish this?
