my 1995 s10 2.2 liters starter motor will engage and turn the flywheel for a couple seconds, then it sounds like it just spins. This happens everytime on the first startup attempt but on the second it will keep the engine cranking just long enough for it fire off and run under its own power.
what would cause this? id rather not buy a new starter, cant afford to. so is there anything i can check or repair myself?
