I need help deciedeing what to get, trucks arent my area of expertise. but i want a pickup truck not super big but not small, so no s-10 or 1500. im looking for around the size of a 2500, but i want a 4wd with a decent motor, i dont need to find one but i need like a model so i can look around for, soo tell me some model ideas can be either chevy or gm

First off, there is not much difference at all between Chevy/GMC, except for body lines. What are wanting the duties of the truck for? Is it work, play, hauling, pulling, farm or all the above? That kind of information would be very helpful.

Sounds like you ought to git you a chevy, 97 model. They were all 4-wheelers cause the driveshaft couldn't handle the load the 5.7 could put on the rear wheels alone.

the 1500 and the 2500 are the same size (length, wide, interior space)
The 2500 has stiffer suspension to carry more load. The ride is rougher as a consequence.

If you don't need it for a specific task, just get the new 1500 with the largest gas engine and have GM option it with their new automatic locking diff. Why waste the extra money on a 4wd 2500 when you can get just about the same performance for a lot less $. That way you could stock up on interior options and fun stuff you would actually use. (This is of course if you don't have a huge boat or horse/car trailer etc)
