I am looking to buy a 2006 suv. I am between a ford escape and a chevy equinox. I would like awd but I can live without. I don't want to spend more than 14,000. Just looking for some help and advice. I have researched them both and both have good and bad points. I own a toyota now and just don't seem to trust them with safety. I want an suv for my dog and my child. Any help would be great.
