Hi, I am building my first engine (1986 Small block Chevy 350 4 bolt main 1pc rear seal) and I am at the point where I need to Finish buying my parts. the first thing I bought was pro comp aluminum 202 64cc Heads.
I also have 1.6 roller rockers and a 650 Demon double pump carb
These are the things I have now and can't change. my questions is. I am going to go with an RPM air gap performer intake, what Cam should I use? like what lift and separation and all that stuff, I dont know any of it.
also should I bore it .30 over or leave it standard. The engine ran fine no burning oil or anything, should I just replace the piston rings rather than bore? I am on a tight budget and really cant afford the machine work. pretty much, with what I have what should I do??? This will be a daily driver behind a non world class T5 that I expect to explode. PLEASE HELP! OLD CHEVY MOTOR GURUS I NEED YOU!!!!! :'(
also, how do people change crank bearings without taking them to machine shops? like can I just replace them or do I need special sizes, (best case scenario answers please) no $ for line hone
