chevy cobalt car battery replacement ?

I was searching online for a replacement battery for my chevy cobalt and every site i visit such as sears, interstate batteries , etc. none of them list a battery that fits this car. Why would that be ? This seemed odd to me as far as Ive ever known with any vehicle i've owned a battery is a battery, different quality, different cranking amps but matching that up how could a store say a b battery with the same specs isn't a compatible fit ?? Has this world gone nutz
