The problem did not come from the can, it came from the bottom of your fuel tank. You see, not a single drop of fuel we buy at fuel stations is truly clean. When you run you car completely empty, every bit of junk at the bottom of the tank is RAISED when you put more fuel back in. So then all of the junk in the bottom of the tank has now travelled throughout the entire fuel system and could cause clogged fuel parts. Your only solutions are to:
(1) Replace Fuel Filter...this is the first step to maybe solving this
(2) Remove and Clean fuel tank...this is the second step
(3) Flush out entire fuel system...only a professional will do this and for a good some of money.
Word of the wise...never run out of gas...get gas when you are at 1/4 of a tank remaining so that trash at the bottom of the tank does not travel throughout the entire fuel system.
