Chevy Aveo LS alarm system?

I have a 08 Chevy Aveo and I want to install an alarm with key less entry.
It's the basic model and the door locks are manual. Can I do that? The reason i'm asking this is because I heard you have to have a automatic lock system to install an alarm.
