Chest "tickle", burping relieves pain?!

Hi- I have been having trouble with reflux and weird chest cramping for 3+ months now. Had a barium swallow which was normal. Nexium seemed to help for 3 weeks but then it came back. I switched to Prilosec due to cost and the reflux (regurgitation) is pretty much gone so I am trying to do without ... but I wake up with mucus in my throat and this annoying chest tickle all over on the left side, but mostly under my breastbone. If I burp it feels better and eventually goes away and then comes back in the afternoon. My burps are so huge and gurgly like they are coming up my whole body til I get relief - weird! Seems to happen when I'm hungry.

Visited my cardiologist this week and will get an echo next week. He doesn't think it's my heart but these pains near my heart scare me. If I had LPR or something going on down there, wouldn't the upper GI have shown SOMETHING? Does anyone else get a bad tickle feeling in their chest like you want to scratch it, then burp for relief?! Will this just go away on its own as quickly as it started?

My lifestyle didn't change but I do suffer from mild anxiety and take Xanax occasionally for that. Thanks!!!

Burps could be relieving pressue due to gas. I know gas can be very painful when it is not being released one way to the other if you know what I mean.

SounRAB like a good idea to have heart checked anyway.
