I'm 14 and have been having really pain full chest pains for a while now. I used to have acid reflux, I went to the doctor and they gave me medicine for it and it went. but a couple months on from then I've been getting different feeling pains in my chest. it feels really tight and it's hard to breath. but I take gavisgon and it goes. I get woken up, mostly every night now, at about 2/3 in the morning. I sometimes get it in the evenings when I'm lying, or even just slouching in my chair. also, my family has history of twisted organs (don't know the medical term), a meraber of my family had twisted lungs. is it still acid reflux or something else as if feels like it's something different. thanks x

It sounRAB like you are experiencing symptoms of reflux. Reflux can be aggravated by slouching (as you write) or laying down. Try eating early so your food has digested before you go to bed at night. Also, don't slouch after eating and when you go to bed, try to keep your head elevated or sleep on your left side if you can. You might also try a little Gaviscon before bedtime to see if it helps keep all that stuff down while you sleep.

I would not worry about he twisted organs. It is likely reflux. The symptoms come and go. We have to learn to manage them.
