Chest Pain

I wasn't sure which was the right place to post this, so I thought I'd try this.

Last night I was stretching and reaching for my lamp to turn it off and go to bed. All of a sudden a bad stabbing pain occurred behind my left breast. I laid back down to see if it would subside, however, it didn't. I thought it may be heart burn, although it didn't feel like any heartburn I've ever had, so I tried sleeping. That wasn't going well, so I tried taking some pain reliever for it. WHen I reach up to get the bottle it hurt even more. I found that turning on my side, regular walking movement, and anything but laying on my back increased the pain dramatically. It started out behind my breast, a burning feeling around it, and toward my back. The worse part was at the inner side of my breast. If I got up, my heart and pulse started racing.

This morning the pain was even worse. I got taken to the ER. The pain was unbearable. They examined me, and took some blood. My EKG was normal, my chest X-Ray was normal, but my blood work came back elevated. They thought I may have a blood clot, but my Cat Scan came back normal. I was given three shots of a pain meds and it decreased the pain some, but the spot at my inner side of my breast was still hurting.

They suggested it may be Pleurisy and also to try an acid reducer as well. They had me take off three days of work to rest. And I'm on a pain killer.

Can an acid problem last this long and still cause pain after so much pain medication? Could they have missed a blood clot? Could it be something completely different?

Yes Acid problems can stay for long time. It is better to consult a doctor.Better time management and proper morning walks and little bit of Cardio exercises would help your cause.

If you smoke, then please avoid it.Take proper medical guidance. This will definitely help you out.
