chest pain when all breath is exhailed?

This has been happening for the past few days off and on, and if I dont keep breathing short breaths my chest hurts (leftside).

It does not hurt when I take deep breaths, just when I exhale all the way.

I have been looking online but the most common stuff is pain when you take deep breaths. all help will be appreciated.
 
Do you mean you have chest pains when you exhale all the air from your lungs? Like you would with a spirometer test when you're trying to reach 400 cc?

I occasionally take in full deep breaths and then exhale all that I can to make sure my lungs will still do this. That uses muscles to exhale that I don't normally use, and I sometimes get a little pain.
 
I am only 19, I do not know what a spirometer test is, but no. It is normal breathing at the end of an exhale I get pain that pulses with my heart. I found 3 other people on the internet with the same thing and all i found was it was not heart related but no one knew what it was...

This all started 4 days ago when It felt like I could only get so much air then it would hurt, like something was around my lungs restricting how much air I could get then it would hurt, that happens from time to time, I found what it was on the internet but I forgot where I found it, I read it happens randomly to any age group(and is said to be nothing) and lasts about 30secs to a minute.

But shortly after that I started getting these pains, nothing that hurt reall bad, but they are more annoying and nerve wrecking than anything.

I have been feeling a lot better but Im kinda sore in my chest area, If it starts hurting still im going to go to a doctor.
 
Have you ever been diagnosed with asthma? Asthma can make it difficult to get the air OUT at times. There are some good websites that describe what is happening when you are having asthma attacks. They show how there is constrictions in your lungs.

I'm not able to post links on this site. Try to do an internet search using the words "asthma", "asthma symptoms" or "about asthma".

There is no cure for asthma. There are, however treatments. You will need to go see a doctor to receive the appropriate medications for treatment. Typically they start with trying a "rescue" inhaler such as Albuterol. For more severe asthma, they may prescribe some preventative medications. If it is extremely bad, they may also prescribe a short burst of oral steroids.

Really, only your doctor can confirm if your breathing problems are asthma and guide you on the path to appropriate treatment.
