Chest pain symptoms

First of all let me say I looked through sites trying to find something, I didnt just jump straight on here and ask. This is such a general problem its hard to find anything though.

My girlfriend, obviously female, young and looks fit although not the best diet. Has bad pains in her upper stomach, and in her chest, also regular headaches. These pains come at night. Any suggestions as to what this could be? Thank you

Does the pain come because she is laying flat? Have elevate her head at night and see if that doesn't help with the problem.

Its not just laying down, can also be standing or sitting.

could be anxiety or GERD (indegestion) and it could also be inflammation of the chest wall (very common) things

Any recommendations besides going to the Dr? I have told her to take vitamins as she eats a lot of sweets and not many things good for her, although she does not eat very much at all.
