Chest pain/lump in throat/muscle pain/tingling

Hello, I'm a 24 year old male and have been suffering from head rushes, chest pain, muscle spasms/pain, headaches, tingling and aching in both arms, occasional pain in the jaws when i chew, and general bloating/constipation, although I have been able to have bowel movements finally (sometimes with mucus in them). I've been to the ER 3 times in the last week, two different primaries, an orthopedist, and a GI Specialist. All results have come back negative (CAT scan of abdomen/chest, ultrasound of organs, blood work) to show that it's NOT my heart or lungs. What could I be going through? I will be getting an endoscopy and nerve testing done next friday and will update this post when I get the results. So far, everyone seems to think it's some muscular problems blown out of proportion by anxiety issues...

few things to note:
1. Prior to these symptoms I was kneed in the chest during a Jiu Jutsu class, severely bruising the center of my chest.
2. I was bitten by a strange bug during a rafting trip.
3. I ate an entire platter of food (Chicken, bread and some sun dried tomatoes with cheese and honey mustard) gluttonously and felt like death afterward.
4. I have a rhomboid issue in my back
5. Neck problems
6. Bilateral Inguinal hernia surgery 11/4/2008
7. ACL/Lateral Meniscus reconstruction 01/29/2009

Most of your symptoms could be explained by Generalized Anxiety Disorder. You could have GAD and some other health problem so it's important to rule out any other causes before dx GAD.

GAD is probably genetic but can be triggered by stressful life events. It's a real disorder - not just a "all in your head" sort of thing. http://www.nimh.nih.gov/health/topics/generalized-anxiety-disorder-gad/index.shtml

Since you're seeing a gastro guy anyway, I'd suggest you also get tested for Celiac disease. Celiac can cause many of these symptoms, including anxiety, and it's often overlooked by doctors.

Good luck with your testing! Hopefully you'll have some answers soon, I know waiting can be the worst part.

Well. THANK YOU AuntieLeela first of all, for trying to help me out. And I mean that in the sincerest way, but I got an endoscopy this past Friday, and it turns out that I have minor ulcerations in my stomach.

I'm not going to rule out anxiety as a complication of my physical symptoms, however, I am on Prilosec OTC - two tabs/morning and two tabs/night per my gastrologist's request for 2 weeks. They also took a biopsy during the endoscopy and I will update the post when I get more results.

I have taken anxiety into consideration, but I can beat these symptoms with a good mentality and solid diet.

You are the master of your own domain!

So. I hope you're ready for all this. turns out that I have a bruised Gall Bladder/Liver. I found out nearly a month after I smoked something that the reason it caused me to panic and think I was having a heart attack was because it was laced without my knowing (at this point I have completely quit smoking/alcohol). Even my friend who purchased it had no idea. I was given a blood test for Lyme disease which came back positive (I'm currently on antibiotics-Doxycyclene 100mg 2x daily).

After seeing countless doctors and specialists, half of whom thought I was crazy, all while forcing them to get me multiple tests, it turns out that if I didn't get kneed in the chest, I would have never discovered any of this.

Summary:
1. Chostochondritis
2. Bruised Gall Bladder/Liver
3. Lyme disease (which generally causes panic attacks/anxiety/stress among a seemingly endless list of other symptoms)
4. Drug induced heart-attack symptoms
5. Bruised left retina
6. Revenge is a dish best served cold

In any case, Thanks so much AuntieLeela. I did talk to my gastro about celiac disease and he and I honestly don't think it's that because celiac generally causes diarrhea (I was constipated). And naturally, yes, I am a little anxious of late, but I had very real and valid reasons to be anxious. If I have any advice for anyone, if you're sexually active and you're outdoors a lot, make sure you get a lyme disease blood test along with your STD check up REGULARLY. This means every 4-6 months!

At this point I've completely altered my diet. I haven't had a cheeseburger or fast food for over a month. I haven't smoked anything or had any alcohol. I'm on a rice/fruits/vegetables/lean meat/rice protein diet. I eat small portions throughout the day with a big lunch, have multiple solid bowel movements daily, and am on the path to a full recovery and a new healthier lifestyle, God willing.

I still have a long way to go, but I'm glad that I've gotten most everything figured out. I've come to a point in my life where I realize how important it is to take it easy. I'm not superman, and I never will be if I continued on the wrong path like I was. I didn't realize how quickly things can spiral out of control.

Also, regarding anxiety. If you dropped a baby on his head and he started to cry, would you just say he's anxious?
