cherry bomb muffler void gm warranty?

if i have the muffler put on at the dealership would it still void my warranty?
 
Why don't you wait until your warranty runs out? Some US warranties run for four years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. If you change anything or modify anything before the warranty runs out, you may cause the dealer to void the main warranty completely. The dealers are in so much financial trouble right now, you would be wise to keep quiet until you really need some kind of help.
 
They wouldnt put it on because it will change the muffler back presurecausing you catalytic converter not to work properly. This may even throw your engine light on
 
Read the warranty! If it says anything about replacing factory parts, don't do it! Also, don't take the dealership's word for anything! They aren't out to protect your warranty, they are out to make money.
 
possible as it will alter the air flow an may not allow the oxygen sensors to do their job in getting the engine into closed loop. also sound may be too loud to pass smog test in your state.
