We are using information obtained from a titration done in chem lab to answer the questions. We are given all of the proper equations to use and the first equation is:
number of moles, S2O3 2- ion required, mol= (volume Na2S2O3 solution, mL)(1 L/1000 mL)(number of moles of Na2S2O3/volume of solution, L)(1 mol S2O3 2-)(1 mol Na2S2O3).

Does anyone know if the portion of the equation that says the "volume of solution" is that just the volume of Na2S2O3 used in the titration or is it the total volume of the Na2S2O3 and chemical being titrated (in this case 12.5 mL of commercial bleach)? 100 mL H2O, 10 mL KI solution, and 4 mL of starch were also added to the flask containing the bleach during the titration. If the portion of the equation that says "volume of solution, L" includes the Na2S2O3 and chemical being titrated will it also include the amount of water, KI and starch. All of which were used to determine the end point.
