Chemistry stuff yay!! Help? Mercury !?

So people who know about Mercury (the element) cycling through different phases, please please help.

Ok so I am writing a children's story book on Mercury cycle and the stages it goes through.

First we're having it explode from a volcano as a gas form ( what element should it be just mercury or a compound with mercury)

Next having it mix with rain in a rain cloud and precipitate into a pond, so it would go into a liquid form... would this just be mercury as a liquid state as well or mixed with H2o or something?

Then we are having it turn into a solid by mixing with sulfur to make Mercury Sulfide. I need help with how long it takes for mercury sulfide to be formed and if when he is in the pond if he'd be very reactive...etc....and how Mercury and Sulfur combine? (in terms of like atoms I suppose.)

Then we are going to have the mercury somehow separate from the sulfur to make a more soluble compound that will then vaporize into the air (I was thinking of methylmercury, but I need help in understanding how Mercury would be able to separate from sulfur in terms also of atoms etc...because I need to describe this somehow) and then how would it combine to make methylmercury ? Is there a better element than methylmercury I could use that could vaporize into the air?

And then it's going to be a vapor in the air (Idk if it would still be methylmercury or wht )

Please help me fill in these question marks I have, I just need a process and to understand all these little things because she is going to mark me down if I don't...

We also need to mention how temperature and pressure is involved...how intermolecular forces are involved, and why boiling is special...idk how imma put boiling in there just mention its boiling point or something? Aha those were off from the rubric, so I needa fit those in there somewhere.

I just need someone to help clarify this stuff for me, I will be forever and ever grateful is someone comes along and can genuinely help me with this! Tysm to those who care.
