When heat is given off to the surroundings during a chemical reaction, it is because bond breaking...
A) and bond breaking release energy
B) requires less energy than that released when new bonds are formed.
C) requires more energy than that released when new bonds are formed.
D) is an endothermic process while bond making is an endothermic one.
I put 'D' but my teacher told me that the correct answer is 'B'.
I don't understand...can someone please tell me the correct answer and explain it? Thanks.
